Profile
Ray focuses his practice in several areas, including financial institution law (loan transaction work, mergers and litigation), foreclosure law, real estate and business litigation. He practiced law for 25 years with real estate practitioner Hylas A. Hilliard, beginning their association together in 1974 in the legal department of Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan Association, and then as partners at Hilliard, Ramsey & Drexel, Hilliard & Drexel and Buckley King & Bluso. Ray earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, and his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University. Ray’s clients include numerous financial institutions, title companies and small businesses located and/or doing business in Columbus and throughout Ohio.Professional Activities
Ray has lectured on real estate and foreclosure issues for the Lorman
Business Center, Inc.’s “Foreclosure and Repossession” seminar, and on
savings account issues for the Institute of Financial Education.
He has also authored an article titled “Administrative Wage
Garnishments” for the Ohio Restaurant Association.
Ray is a member of the Mid-Ohio Lender’s Counsel Association (past
president), the Real Property Committee of the Columbus Bar Association,
the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Club of
Columbus. Ray is also a past president and lifetime honorary
member of The National Management Association, Buckeye Federal Chapter,
Inc.
