Craig
Smith has practiced law in Columbus, Ohio for more than 23 years and has
been with Gamble Hartshorn since 1986. Craig has significant
experience in business litigation, which includes contractual disputes,
enforcements of restrictive covenants, protection of proprietary
information and trade secrets, defense of wrongful discharge claims, and
defense of discrimination and sexual harassment claims. Craig currently
concentrates his practice in employment and healthcare law.
Professional Activities
Craig has lectured
on litigation issues for the Ohio Credit Union League, the Columbus Bar
Association, the Ohio State Bar Association CLE Institute and the
National Business Institute. He has
co-authored an article titled “Business Owners in Conflict; the Lawyer’s
Role” for the Ohio State Bar Association’s Ohio Lawyer magazine.
Craig is a member of the Columbus Bar Association (and past chairperson
of the Common Pleas Court Committee and member of the Federal Court
Committee) and the Ohio State Bar Association.
Craig is a member of the Millionaire
Advocates Forum, reserved for those attorneys who have obtained a
judgment or verdict in excess of one million dollars. In
2005, 2006 and 2007, Craig has been voted by his peers to be a Columbus “Super
Lawyer”®.
